I am generally interested in the evolution of biodiversity in the animal kingdom. In particular, I am keen on understanding in which way organisms are adapted to their environment and how this is achieved on the genomic level. To address these questions, I mainly focus on reptiles and amphibians as model orginisms. Adaptations I am interested in encompass a wide range of topics, ranging from the evolution of life history modes to adaptive morphological traits. I use an integration of genomic, morphological and ecological data and bioinformatic software tools to tackle these questions.
